TAMPA –
Direct Auto Insurance is going to MacDill Air Force Base, looking for a few good new employees.
Today and tomorrow, the insurance company is setting up house at the base, looking to recruit workers who will be transitioning from the military to civilian life.
The event will be held at the MacDill Airman & Family Readiness Center from 9:00 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. and will be open to all military personnel, their spouses and their families through the Employment Assistance Program at the base.
Direct Auto Insurance senior vice president Tom Kaschalk says military personnel are great candidates.
“They have great problem solving skills, decision making skills and they’d be a great fit into the insurance industry.”
This is part of the Department of Defense’s Transition Assistance Program (TAP) that helps military people transition from active service to civilian life.
Military personnel, their spouses and families are welcomed to apply.
