How to accept credit card offers on the phone?
I keep getting credit card offers on the phone from Discovery Card. they want my birthday. Mom's maiden name etc. I won't give it to them so that ends that. how do you accept an offer on the phone now a days without worrying about Identity theft ?
You can't. Period. It sounds as though you are being scammed for your personal information. if you want their credit card, go to their website and complete the application. You can also call their toll free number or go into a bank and ask for an application. NEVER give any personal information to anyone over the telephone.
Don't ever give out any personal info over the phone, the internet, or by mail unless you 100% know who you are dealing with because of identity theft. Even I can contact people pretending to be a legit business.
NEVER give any info unless you originate the call.
