Are Free Electronic Cigarettes A Scam?

Written by Thompson Monroe

I’ve been using the e-smoke for about 2 years now. There is no question in my view that they’ve made me completely quit smoking cigarettes. I have also cut down my nicotine use to the lowest possible quantity. Whenever I see the debate about how it doesn’t work and they’re unhealthy, I simply ignore it as I realize much of this is propaganda.

Recently, I have seen numerous “free” electronic cigarettes being promoted on the internet, in the news paper and also on Television. How can this be? I recognize that anything which seems too good to be true is generally a fraud. So, after doing a little investigation, I uncovered that no charge Electronic cigarette trials are probably the biggest hoaxes EVER.

For starters, I don’t need a bunch of e-mails or comments about E-Cigs and E-Cig safety and so forth. That’s not what this is about. It is relating to a tremendous rip-off which will cost you time, headache and even more importantly money. Frequently a lot of money. This is how most greedy smokeless cigarette vendors work the scam and how you can prevent falling victim to the rip-off.

The first sign that you’re going to end up being scammed is the term “Free” within a electric cigarette ad. Everybody knows absolutely nothing is free. When you sign-up to get a “free” e cigarette, you are at the same time subscribed to an automatic e-juice cartridge refill program. Eliquid is the nicotine containing solution used by Ecigs. The specific conditions may vary but the swindle is going to be identical. The merchant provides you the smoke free cigarette without charge and you will have to get your eliquid cartridges from their site. The catch is you will be subscribed to a service where you are automatically charged on a monthly basis and the e-liquid cartridges are delivered to you. Your cartridges, as you can imagine, will be over priced and very inferior quality.

Now to make things worse, the scammers usually do not even let you know that you’re re-billed every month at hugely marked up costs up to 10 times the cost of a premium ecig cartridge. So why not merely terminate the subscription in the e liquid membership? Basically, you could. The problem is you will not receive a refund for any cartridges that you’ve already received and they’re not returnable. In addition it usually takes somewhere between 2 and 3 months in order to complete the cancellation (somewhat convenient for the fraudsters) which means you could find yourself buying 3-4 months of cartridge refills at between $100 and $200 each month. This is seriously Ridiculous.

But these guys aren’t finished with you just yet. The no cost E Cigarette you were given will be the lowest possible quality which will last a daily smoker one to two weeks before it stops working. And when you try to make contact with the business you’ll find your hard earned money and the scammers are gone forever. So if you’re looking to buy an E Cigarette, never try to get one free of charge. Choose a trustworthy E Cigarette supplier and stay with them for all of your refill and replacement merchandise.
