Mesa, AZ (PRWEB) September 28, 2007

Whether it is the expense of the Annual Meeting or other business travel, many executives are not able to take all of the possible tax deductions for the simple reason that they don’t keep and file all of their receipts and adequate notes on business meetings and activities. You don’t have to lose valuable tax deductions.

Just A Minute, LLC, known for their services to help small business executives prepare the necessary documentation throughout the year and in preparation for their Annual Meetings, recently introduced their new Business Receipt Organizer. “We’ve actually taken the typical receipt storage envelope to the next level,” says co-owner Kari VanNoy. “Unlike the envelopes in many personal organizers, our envelope is oversized to hold notes and meeting minutes, etc.”

“We’ve also made it easier to note critical information,” says Co-owner Juli Walsh, “by providing places to make the notes and reminders of what information is most important.” The envelope is printed on both sides with forms for all the information someone would need to record.

The columns printed on the front are for keeping track of all business actions for trips, business expenses, etc. The back of the envelope is printed with a very handy form for recording overnight and travel expenses for four locations or events. This clearly goes beyond the standard travel receipt envelopes.

“You just print on the outside of the envelope for each meeting, each action or expense and put the receipt inside. Then, file it away (either by month or by business trip), and you are ready to give it to your CPA or tax preparer,” says Walsh.

Just A Minute, LLC wanted to create a truly functional product that was easy to use and that would save time for executives. In actual fact, this business receipt organizer would save time for anyone who travels for business, whether the business is their own or they need to justify and track travel and sales call expenses for a large company. With this helpful tool, there is no reason for anyone to lose out on a tax deduction because they didn’t keep adequate records.

Don’t you just love it when someone actually looks out for your best interests?

About Just A Minute, LLC
For over 10 years, owners Kari VanNoy and Juli Walsh, both paralegals, have been building their mission to educate and protect small business owners. They created Just A Minute, LLC to assist busy small business owners and executives with their company minutes and resolutions to keep their company assets safe, secure and protected.

Kansas City, Mo. (PRWEB) January 26, 2012

According to a new America THINKS survey from HNTB Corporation, modern air travel can recapture its glamour and appeal by incorporating new technology and better amenities into passengers’ everyday experience.

“For many Americans, air travel has lost its spark,” said Tom Rossbach, AIA, ACI, director of aviation architecture for HNTB. “Many feel that air travel is not an exciting part of a journey; it’s a means to an end.” Nearly half of Americans think this type of transportation is stressful (44 percent) or frustrating (41 percent) and close to one-third say it’s exhausting (32 percent). Far fewer feel air travel is fun (18 percent) or relaxing (7 percent).

Displeasure with long lines inside the terminal and on the tarmac, security checkpoints and limited food choices often have been typical reasons millions express dislike when flying.

“However, our research shows design changes, both landside and airside, being made at many airports are having a positive impact, and the future should be a bright one,” said Rossbach.

One heartening finding: almost half of Americans (46 percent) think terminal amenities, such as shops, food options and entertainment, have generally improved in the last 10 years.

Some airports already are on the right track with meeting these demands: 88 percent of Americans who’ve been to an airport in the last decade have noticed upgrades. Nearly half (55 percent) of these people have seen improved availability of self check-in options, and 43 percent say that the dreaded security checkpoints have gotten better.

“The model of how passengers and airlines use airport terminals is in the midst of a significant shift,” said Rossbach.

Screening inefficiencies make for unhappy flyers

Yet many flyers dont believe that the enormous efforts the Federal Aviation Administration and the Transportation Security Administration undertake to keep passengers safe are doing much good. Less than 1 in 4 (22 percent) Americans think that the security screening process for airline passengers is effective, and even fewer think its efficient (11 percent).

This must-do activity for air travelers is far from enjoyable for millions. Almost 2 in 5 (39 percent) feel the security screening process is frustrating and 27 percent find it invasive. More men than women feel that the security screening routine is frustrating (45 percent versus 34 percent) and obtrusive (31 percent versus 23 percent).

Future travel mobility

We have GPS in our cars and on our phones, why not on our luggage? Delta’s recently announced mobile baggage tracking app should please more than a quarter (26 percent) of Americans who would most like to see paper baggage tags replaced with electronic GPS tags over the next decade.

And, when it comes to air traffic control, a majority (53 percent) of Americans would feel safer in a plane guided by “NextGen” GPS technology rather than the current radar-based system.

Room for improvement

More generally speaking, more than 1 in 4 (28 percent) Americans have concerns about the lack of efficiency in the design of airports’ operational areas, such as parking garages, internal transportation and security checkpoints.

With this in mind, many point fingers to areas that need immediate help. Nearly 1 in 5 (16 percent) Americans think the most important aspect of airports to improve right now, aside from security checkpoint efficiency, is the drop-off and pick-up curbs.

Some would most like to see upgrades they can take advantage of while waiting to take off. Twelve percent name departure gate lounges as that in most need of immediate improvements, and 10 percent think there should be more quiet spots in the airport so they can chat or work.

Saving time checking in and changing the game

While more than half (56 percent) of Americans who plan to travel via airplane in the next year are likely to use an airline agent to check in for a flight rather than using a self-service kiosk, Rossbach said such technology-based solutions are likely to change air travel and airports themselves in the future.

In fact, if a self-check kiosk means saving time, most Americans (76 percent) would prefer to use it over an airline agent.

“Much as we’ve seen banking evolve from tellers, to ATMs to online self-transactions, we’re seeing a transition to more do-it-yourself options for airline travelers too,” said Rossbach. “This is particularly meaningful for frequent travelers who have seen the time they spend in other airport activities, most notably security checkpoints, increase.”

The first self bag check-in program was implemented at Austin-Bergstrom International Airport, and it reduced passenger queuing and processing time by 60 percent. HNTB currently is planning and designing similar self-serve bag check-in systems as part of terminal projects in San Diego and Denver.

About the survey

HNTB’s America THINKS national aviation survey polled a random nationwide sample of 1,000 Americans Nov. 21-28, 2011. It was conducted by Kelton Research, which used an e-mail invitation and online survey. Quotas were set to ensure reliable and accurate representation of the total U.S. population ages 18 and over. The margin of error is +/- 3.1 percent.

San Jose, California (PRWEB) January 30, 2012

Follow us on LinkedIn The fortunes in the outbound travel & leisure segment and to a certain extent, the trends in the inbound travel are very much dependent on a sound economy. Bleak economic prospects, lack of job security, low wage growth, less disposable income, high interest rates, fiscal tightening and others are all major factors that dampen the spirits and deter the traveller, thereby blocking the conduits through which money flows into the travel and tourism market. Over the coming years, travel and leisure industry outlook appears promising with rise in consumer spending on travel and tourism for both holiday and business trips. Although the global economic downturn in 2009 took a heavy toll on the travel sector world over, with drop in number of international arrivals and global outbound sales, the industry was quick to reverse the trend and get back on track in 2010. There was a marked improvement in international arrivals statistics, primarily owing to the impressive performance by developing regions such as Asia-Pacific and South America. The online travel market stayed insulated from the economic downturn, exhibiting consistent rise in sales and profitability. The vacation rental sector also defied all odds by staying afloat in the recessionary phase, mainly due to its widespread presence across the internet, thereby providing easy accessibility and affordability.

A segment that has witnessed remarkable growth in recent times is the short trips category, with low cost airlines driving up overall demand. Around 50% of outbound travel is made by air, and slashes in airlines fare across the world have had a discernible positive effect on the volume of traffic in the travel sector. In addition, with increasing number of women taking to travel for both business and leisure, the travel and leisure sector is poised for growth not just in terms of revenue, but also with respect to development of expensive and convenient women-friendly facilities. A majority of the women consumers travel abroad for business, and often combines business travels and leisure trips. Taking this into account, business hotels have improved their offerings to include women friendly services such as spas, salons, childcare facilities, and boutiques.

Asia is emerging as a significant market for both inbound and outbound tourism traffic, with China, India, and South Korea representing three major Asian destinations for majority of outbound travel. In the fray are other exotic regions outsides Asia including Mexico, Brazil, Spain, Italy, Russia, and Norway. Unconventional or second-layer vacations spots have taken over popularity of conventional destinations. Additionally, special attractions such as the multi-generational family trips and epicurean journeys are expected to become a vibrant trend in the near future. Overtaking Spain, China became the third leading nation to be most visited, while luxury cruises in Egypt, Zimbabwe and India attracted several foreign tourists.

The research report titled Travel and Leisure: A Global Outlook announced by Global Industry Analysts, Inc., provides a collection of statistical anecdotes, market briefs, and concise summaries of research findings. The report provides a birds eye view of the effervescent and dynamic world of travel and leisure, and a peek into prevailing scenario with data-rich tables offering statistical findings on key regional and international parameters such as, tourist arrivals, tourism expenditure /receipts and spending on travel services among others. The report offers crisp primers on emerging trends shaping the industrys future, and insights into the spate of recent mergers and acquisitions, and other noteworthy corporate developments. Travel market trends and demographic behavioral patterns are neatly outlined, and illustrated with supporting market data tables. Other regional markets briefly summarized, and annotated with tables include Canada, Japan, Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, The Netherlands, UK, Australia, China, Hong Kong, India, Korea Egypt and others. Also included is an indexed, easy-to-refer, fact-finder directory listing the addresses, and contact details of companies worldwide.

Memphis, Tennessee (PRWEB) February 15, 2011

The Hawaiian Vacation Rental Estate that is referred to as “The Winter Obama White House.” is the latest to go social with Tweet Travelers. In December 2008, 2009 and 2010, President Barack Obama and his family personally selected the Plantation Estate as their holiday vacation home. The exclusive 5 Star Plantation Estate at Paradise Point at Kailua Bay on the Hawaiian Island of Oahu, offers classic beachfront elegance at its finest. The photos of the luxury estate were tweeted as well which sparked great conversations among Tweet Travelers. Tweet Travelers works with hotels, cruise companies, yacht charters, tourism boards, resorts and vacation rental owners to help offer travelers the best choices in travel.

Tweet Travelers is becoming a valuable source for Vacation Rental Owners and Travel Companies through the Travel Social Media Networking site and the Tweet Travelers Twitter page. And, each day more and more travel companies are getting the message of how Tweet Travelers can help expand their brands through its social network site. Currently, the travel social media network features top travel blogs, travel photos, travel videos and now will offer a social vacation rental listing feature for Vacation Rental Owners, Hotels and Resorts. Tweet Travelers helps entrepreneurs grow their travel brand through Social Media strategy and connect travelers with travel industry experts from travel writers, vacation rental owners, hotels, resorts and other travel and tourism related companies. Social Media can help expand a travel companies brand, reach more people and increase their business as well as help friends discover and share new travel destinations.

It has been fascinating to see more and more travel companies understand the benefit of Tweet Travelers. It’s easy to think of it as a silly social networking site until you understand the power of the connections within the travel network that have already become members. A Travel company can make powerful travel connections on Tweet Travelers and really expand their brand in ways they have never reached before the launch of Tweet Travelers.

Other travel and tourism companies are going social with Tweet Travelers as well. Some of the newest Social Vacation Rental listings are some of the finest vacation rentals in the world. Tweet Travelers was thrilled to add The WaterFall Rental home in the Catskills. The Waterfall Rental House is owned by Bob Malkin, ThinkBig creator and his wife Barbara, who had a successful career in Hollywood in the film and television industry with Warner Bros Studio. Later Barbara moved back to the east coast and she and Bob fell in love with their vacation rental home that they refer to as “paradise”. The vacation rental home is Impeccably furnished with country antiques and delightful, hard to find items from the collection of Bob’s line of ThinkBig The Waterfall House rental near WoodStock is the perfect romantic getaway in the Catskill Mountains. The area is known to be one of the best U.S. regions for a romantic weekend getaway and is only about two hours from from New York City. Travelers can vacation at the Waterfall House and view waterfalls from each room. The vacation rental home created the perfect conversation for a “Romantic Getaway” on the Tweet Travelers Twitter page @TweetTravelers.

TweetTravelers.com connects travelers with travel industry professionals through a safe and secure environment among travel members. In order to have a travel listing on the network you first have to be approved as a member. Once a member is approved they also have the option of adding an additional travel listing. If other Vacation Rentals and Tourism companies would like to go social like the Hawaiian luxury estate and the New York Catskill paradise vacation rental they can add a Social Vacation Rental listing or Social Travel related listing to the network for a small listing fee in addition to being a free member within the network.

About Tweet Travelers: Tweet Travelers is a social media network site focused on travel and includes user-generated travel blogs, travel news, photos, videos, maps, travel information and featured tweets. Our Mission is to help you grow your travel brand through Social Media and connect travelers with travel industry experts from travel writers, travel boards, vacation rental owners, hotels, resorts and other travel and tourism related companies.

Breeze through airport security or by following a few simple rules make it as easy as possible for the personnel at airport security. Why complicate matters and make your traveling more strenuous and troublesome than need be. For the most part it comes down to common sense, taking care to dress in the right fashion and manner and carrying as little metal on your person and clothing as possible.

First of all carry as little metal on your person and clothing as you can. Much of what you will carry is non essential anyways. Obvious pieces of metal or items containing metal are coins, metal pens and keys. Carry as little change and metal in your pockets as possible. What you do have and your keys as well- place these in the plastic trays provided. Less obvious but can be considered optional by many but essential as well as mandatory are jeweler and even heavy metal watches. Include in this group metal belt buckles. All can set of the metal detectors in the line up, make the job of airport security more strenuous than need be, and cause needless delay and delays to yourself, your traveling company and companions and the rest of the travelers in the line.

Next there are items of clothing and accessories that have metal components as well, that will not ordinarily be thought of as being in this group. They too will cost unnecessary time and efforts. Include in this grouping heavy metal work boots with reinforced steel and metal for protection, footwear that is heavily soled and lastly expensive shoes which may have metal buckles. If you can pack these items, pack them away. Take the effort to be selective and choose clothing better chosen, with less metal components. Even the metal in woman’s bras can set off sensitive metal detector devices. In addition you may be asked to remove, by airport security. Heavy and thick soled footwear as a matter of standard current security practices and routines.

Some items that you may consider standard either may not be allowed to be placed on aircraft – or customs in a foreign country may not allow. Check both with the airline and the foreign authorities. It’s also a wise idea to think of this on your return trip as well back home. Some drugs and medicines while over the counter either in the US or abroad may require a doctor’s prescription on the other side. You may well have the provide a doctors prescription or pharmacy vial with the doctor’s orders on the vial or have the contraband seized with personal or financial ramifications for yourself or your traveling companions. Remember lack of knowledge is no grounds for innocence. You cannot expect customs officers to be experts on drugs and pharmacology – to diminish the situation and the apparent innocence of the medication. If it’s on the list as a prohibited, not allowed or banned substance or requires a doctor’s order and can provide such documentation in form – then watch out.

Lastly make sure that all of your electronic devices are fully charged up. If the items require batteries have the batteries fully charged or if the batteries are of the disposable throw away type – as in some digital cameras – place fresh batteries in the device. You may well be asked to turn on, demonstrate and test the device. If for example the battery in your laptop computer is dead on arrival, charging time may be necessary at the inspections site for inspection and approval of the laptop computer. On top of that if the charger is safely packed away in luggage en-route to the airplane – well this is all an unnecessary foolish, unnecessary chain of events – which is easily preventable with some foresight and common sense.

In the end it can be said by simple planning and coordination with a few simple rules of travel at airport security you can well make both your trip more trouble free and the job of airport security to provide security for the traveling public a lot easier and less work.
