TECHNICAL INSTRUCTOR (91B Wheel Vehicle Mechanic ) (60924)USA-VA-Fort LeeSecurity Clearance: NACIClearance Status: must be ObtainableSchedule: full TimeShift Work: NoType of Travel: LocalPercent of Travel Required: up to 10%DescriptionThis is a new opportunity at FT Lee VA. we are looking to hire x7 Technical Instructor/Writer, who are 91B Wheel Vehicle Mechanics.Qualifications:1. All candidates must be able to pass a National Agency Check.2. All candidates must be physically fit and able to perform duties requiring moderate lifting (not to exceed 50 lbs), long periods of standing, sitting or walking, and inclement weather conditions on occasion.3. All candidates must have current U.S. Army Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC) Army Basic Instructor course (ABIC), Support Cadre Training course, (SCTC), and MOS-specific technical training certification.4. All candidates must be proficient with MS office computer programs (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel).Description of Work:1. Conduct classroom/laboratory conferences, discussions, demonstrations, and practical exercises in accordance with course material, technical manuals, and student workbooks that are provided by the government. Scheduling of classes is the responsibility of the department. Instructors/writers are expected to state the action, conditions, and standard and be able to teach all lessons within the Program of Instruction (POI). All instruction shall conform to the principles and concepts contained in the Government approved POI and shall ensure performance to standard for all stated tasks.2. Administer performance based written tests.3. Administer performance hands-on tests.4. Conduct student critiques in accordance with USA ODS standard operating procedure.5. Provide remedial training for students requiring additional instruction in order to perform student objectives to standard. Use proper questioning techniques, such as Ask-Pause-Call-Evaluate.6. Prepares classroom, training area, and training materials. Includes reviewing lesson plans, subject matter material, preparing recovery training aids, and ensuring Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is utilized.7. Maintain Preventive Maintenance Checks and Services (PMCS) on all wheel vehicles/artillery equipment and notify motor pool of non-mission capable equipment.8. Student Support9. Conduct academic counseling; complete counseling record. PROCUREMENT SELECTION SENSITIVE see FAR 2.101 and 3.1 1010. Grade written and performance tests.11. Supervise students at all times.12. Evaluate student performance. Prepare and forward required documentation on any student released prior to graduation.13. Instructor/Writer will review outdated training materials and lesson plans within the wheel vehicle/artillery courses, based on lessons learned and new training requirements mandated by TRADOC. Revisions/updates will annotated as a “redline change” and submitted to the respective Division Chief or course Manager for submission to Training & Doctrine Development for inclusion in updated training material. One data source for this is the Center for Army Lessons Learned (CALL) website usacac.army.mil/cac2/call/index.asp.The Technical Instructor teaches one or more short courses in a technical trade or craft such as electricity, electronics, surveying, aircraft or ship fundamentals, prepares an instructional program in accordance with training or other course requirements, assembling materials to be presented. The incumbent teaches assigned topics in accordance with approved curriculum effectively utilizing all allotted time, maintains proficiency in instructional techniques, incorporates current examples in the teaching process (e.g. develops clarification or real world examples of application related to the subject matter); develops and maintains classroom techniques that reflect professionalism, good discipline and enhance teaching. The Technical Instructor alternates teaching techniques in order to maintain high motivation and interest in the subject areas, administers grades, records and critiques examinations; prepares and administers remedial assignments, submits written recommendations for curriculum updates to ensure consistency with changes and innovations in latest applicable publications or documents.CACI is an Equal Opportunity Employer M/F/D/V.>
